Comparing Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment

Retreat at Lancaster County offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to meet the diverse needs of our patients as they work through addiction recovery. Patients may transition to the PHP after completing inpatient drug rehabilitation. Our PHP is a day treatment program that provides structure, peer support, and therapy, along with medication management and specialty group sessions. While participating in our PHP, patients can work with a member of our Outreach Team to work on rebuilding their lives within society.

The IOP at Retreat at Lancaster County uses a step-down system to provide the right amount of support for our patients throughout the various stages of addiction recovery. The IOP involves a small group setting that offers intensive therapy, along with guidance in developing aftercare solutions and identifying support services. Both the IOP and the PHP include daily transportation and meals.

You can contact Retreat at Lancaster County or Palm Beach County today at (717) 859-8000 to discuss becoming a patient in one of our drug rehabilitation programs. Additional information about the PHP and the IOP is available on our website.
