Understanding Telehealth

At Retreat Behavioral Health, we take the safety of our patients very seriously. Telehealth services allow us to meet the needs of patients wherever they are, increase access to care, and ensure everyone gets the support they need.

Care assessments

Patients can connect with a mental health professional from wherever they are for a comprehensive care assessment and to discuss treatment options.

Medication Management

Remote access to a psychiatrist allows patients to address questions and concerns regarding medications without having to make an in-person visit.

Group and Individual Therapy

Telehealth therapy ensures access to care when and where it’s needed, with both group and individual sessions available.

Integrative Healthcare

Patients can use telehealth to access a remote-based mental health provider for evaluation or therapy.

Mobile Healthcare

Remote assistance for those in need of long-term treatment and management of their conditions.

Direct-to-Consumer Services

Rural patients can connect directly to a Retreat Behavioral Health practitioner or doctor directly from home.

Telehealth Services

Telehealth is a useful tool and increases our ability to provide mental health care for those in remote settings. All telehealth sessions are HIPAA compliant and adhere to strict guidelines around patient confidentiality.

Who Can Benefit From Telehealth?

Anyone! Our telehealth services allow us to connect with new and established patients for evaluations, treatment, and counseling. We also utilize this platform to facilitate support groups for families, community members, and alumni meetings with those in active recovery.

Why Telehealth Is Important?

Telehealth allows us to stay connected with patients even beyond the traditional treatment timeframe, which can be critical in the first 3-9 months after leaving a treatment program. It can also be an important first step for those just beginning their treatment journey, providing accessibility to providers and clinicians so patients can overcome some of the initial barriers that often stand in the way of getting help.

Take Charge of Your Recovery

If you are in need of additional support other than telehealth services, we recommend trying some of the practices below:

  • Attend an AA and/or NA meeting online, via www.aaonlinemeeting.net and www.virtual-na.org
  • Stay informed with the news, but in limited amounts
  • Chat with friends who are in active recovery
  • Reach out to supports, such as close friends or family members
  • Participate in self-soothing activities, including exercise and listening to music
  • Spend time outdoors
  • Instead of complete social distancing, practice increased physical distancing while maintaining proper safety precautions
  • Watch movies, theater, or comedy performances online to take a break from daily stress and anxiety
  • Attend spiritual services online
