Is Retreat accredited as a rehabilitation hospital?
Yes, our South Connecticut, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Palm Beach, Florida facilities are all fully accredited by the Joint Commission for all levels of care. In addition, our Lancaster County Pennsylvania facility also holds accreditation through the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

What type of addiction rehabilitation services does Retreat offer?
We offer a wide range of drug and alcohol addiction treatment services, including detox, inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment services. Our standard programming includes coping skills, 12-step recovery, relapse prevention, and the rebuilding of relationships. Additionally, we offer more unique programming to assist in dealing with issues such as trauma, pain management, co-occurring disorders, and loss and grief. We have special programs designed specifically for medical professionals, first responders, impaired individuals, and other groups.
What types of addiction treatment professionals are at Retreat?
Our team of treatment professionals include licensed substance abuse therapists, mental health therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and a 24/7 nursing staff. This team is managed by a full-time ABAM-certified medical director. Our multi-disciplinary treatment approach helps to keep our patients fully engaged and focused on their recovery.
What is a regular day at Retreat like?
Structure and consistency are a vital part of Retreat’s programming. Every day at Retreat, patients begin by attending their small group with their designated primary therapist to process and discuss issues or challenges you are facing. Throughout the day, patients are provided meals and snacks prepared for you by our executive chef and culinary team. Each day you will participate in a therapeutic and educational track group that is individualized and specific to your treatment needs. You are also provided a choice of holistic therapies to choose from. Retreat offers many holistic therapy options such as art therapy, music therapy, recreational therapy, equine-assisted therapy, yoga, drumming, culinary classes and gardening. On top of these electives, you will have the option to receive one full hour massage from a certified massage therapist during your stay at Retreat. When not participating in scheduled groups you will have time to meet one on one with your therapist, work with other professionals on site, enjoy the amenities and grounds provided by Retreat, or take personal time to reflect, relax, and refuel in a safe and comforting environment.
Will my insurance plan be accepted at Retreat?
We accept most commercial insurance plans at Retreat Behavioral Health. We recommend that you call us at 855-859-8808 and speak to someone from our admissions department to see if we take your specific plan.
