Retreat Premier Addiction Treatment Centers Joins Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services for Strengthened Alumni Services

Lancaster, Pa., November 14, 2017 – To help improve longer-term recovery care for those suffering with the disease of addiction, Retreat Premier Addiction Treatment Centers has joined Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services (TPAS) and will sit on the organization’s Relationship Committee.

“Connection is absolutely crucial after a patient completes or leaves treatment,” said Founder and CEO Peter Schorr, Retreat Premier Addiction Treatment Centers. “Joining TPAS helps us build better ways to stay connected with alumni so we can deliver a full continuum of recovery care and reduce relapse.”

TPAS allows Retreat’s alumni coordinators to collaborate with other alumni professionals through the organization’s biannual TPAS Collaboratives. During these events, alumni coordinators share the practices that work with their alumni, while new attendees ask how they can adjust their approach to improve their quality and value of service.

“Alumni need to connect with others in the same mindset and stay in touch with us in order to better adjust to sober living and reduce the chance of relapse,” said Corporate Alumni Coordinator Maggie Hunt, Retreat Premier Addiction Treatment Centers. “The ultimate goal for TPAS Collaboratives is to walk away with better ways to provide that follow through.”

“We already give patients superior care, as shown by our National Quality Approval from The Joint Commission. Our membership with TPAS shows that we also offer great care when those patients become alumni—and continue on their recovery journey,” said Schorr.
