Retreat at Lancaster County is Now Contracted to Accept Magellan Health Insurance for Mental Health Care, Counseling

Leader in mental health care expands relationship with one of America’s most prominent insurers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Effective June 2019, Retreat at Lancaster County has expanded its relationship with insurance provider Magellan Health, building upon a long established legacy of success in substance abuse care to now accept insurance for mental health treatment, too.

Magellan is a Fortune 500 company and one of America’s most prominent providers of behavioral health insurance. This contract is a significant expansion of services that Retreat is able to provide through its relationship with Magellan, enabling insured clients to receive residential and outpatient mental health care at Retreat’s award-winning facilities.

Previously, Retreat was in-network with Magellan Health for substance abuse care, but this agreement expands the services that Retreat is able to make available to Magellan clientele. The levels of care provided by this increased line of services include residential treatment stays; partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP); as well as psychiatric and psychological assessments; and individual, couples’, and family counseling.

The genesis of this exciting expansion is rooted in Retreat’s exemplary relationship with Magellan, and reflects the confidence that the insurance provider has in Retreat’s diligent, talented team.

“We’re proud to be in-network with Magellan Health, to deliver our industry-leading mental health services to this new patient population,” said Retreat Behavioral Health Founder and CEO Peter Schorr in a statement. “Magellan represents everything Retreat does — a commitment to the highest quality care and concern for every one of the patients whom we serve. We are delighted to expand our relationship with this provider, to advance our mission to help our clients realize successful recovery.”
